AGE v1.11 - BullsEye Software!
BullsEye BBS (519)836-6246
DISCLAIMER
----------
This program works perfectly on my system, but I will not be held responsible
for any damage caused to your system or data by AGE. Having said that, the
only files AGE writes to are the output file and a temporary data file, so
there is little chance of any damage occuring.
INSTALLING
----------
The installation of AGE couldn't be simpler.
1) Create a directory for the following files:
AGE.EXE
INTERMED.EXE
AGE.CFG
All other files are optional.
INTERMED.EXE is a PASCAL program that I wrote to scan the Renegade
USERS.DAT file and put the age information into a format that BASIC PDS
can read.
2) Edit AGE.CFG with the text editor of your choice. The configuration
file is explained within the file itself. Or, run AGE CONFIG
4) Run AGE.EXE!
5) Make a command in your BBS to display the AGE.ASC file. This file
contains Renegade colour codes, so ANSI users will see them in colour
and ASCII users will see them in mono. It couldn't be simpler!
That's it!
PROBLEMS
--------
This program has not been tested on a system running multiple nodes. It may
work properly, it may not. Please let me know either way if you run a
multiple node BBS!
BONUSWARE
---------
This program isn't cripped in any way (down to crippleware authors!), but if
you send me any amount of money ($5 or more though, preferably...) I'll
happily customize a version of AGE for you that can include any information
you want and will take out any mention of my name, or if you're a
programmer, I can send you the QBASIC and PASCAL source codes.
I know this isn't much, but I didn't want to cripple the program in any way.
I'm hoping that at least a few people will throw a few bucks at me out of
the goodness of their hearts... <g>
With any amount of $20 or more, you will get free registration for any other
utilities that I write.
FUTURE PLANS
------------
None right now. Got any ideas? See CONTACT.TXT!
FINAL WORD
----------
I hope you find this program useful, and if you have any comments,
suggestions or criticisms, please contact me (caught on yet? See
CONTACT.TXT!) and let me know!
Enjoy!
